BE's round by round scoring and breakdown:

R1: for Valadez: Bobby Gonzalez is our ref for tonight. Valadez shows much more speed and movement. He scores one powerful looking left hook. Morin seems far too calm to pull out a victory in a four rounder. You can't not go after someone in a four round fight and count on a decision victory. Calm is lost when there is some aggression spilling over after the bell.

R2: for Valadez: Valadez' handspeed is a big obstacle for Morin, especially in his first pro fight. He eats some crisp shots. Morin's punches aren't thrown well and Valadez doesn't have a hard time slipping them.

R3: Even: Morin gets aggressive and lands a good right hand. It's his round in the first half and Valadez' in the second half. I score it even. R4: for Valadez: Though neither man has a jab, it's obvious that Valadez has far more in his arsenal. He is a much more varied fighter than Morin. Outcome:

BE's scorecard: 3 rounds to Valadez, 1 round even, 40-37 for Valadez.
Teddy Atlas' scorecard: 40-37 for Valadez..

Official Scores:

Unanimous Decision for Julio Cesar Valadez:
40-36
40-36
40-36

Bottom Line: Valadez is a nice quick aggressive fighter with good movement who needs a jab. He was dominant from the beginning and rightfully won the fight.
