BE's breakdown and scoring of the fight:
Our referee: Jose Cobian

Round 1: for Flores: Teddy Atlas says both fighters took this fight on six days notice but that this favors Molina because he fought most recently by several months. Flores comes out the aggressor. Teddy says Flores' weight has gone from 128 to 140 professionally. Teddy points out that Molina looks more like he wants to counter than engage. Flores is very aggressive and Molina is not looking worried. As cool as he wants to be, he's giving this round away and it's only a four rounder. I can't see how that's smart.

Round 2: for Molina at 10/8 as if it turns out to matter: Flores comes out swinging again. Joe Tessitore says that Flores is bleeding from the nose and mouth. He hasn't taken that many punches but clearly, they're good punches. Molina seems to gain confidence by this and send in some more offensive work in addition to his conservative counter punching. Molina knockes Flores down with his accurate blows. The towel comes in from Flores' corner. It's over. An official TKO victory from Carlos Molina. Flores was the aggressor and fought far more than Molina but Molina's professional punches were just much more effective. Molina took plenty of punches from a very exuberant Flores but he was supremely cool under pressure. Had it been going to the score cards, the aggressor probably would have gotten it over the counter puncher. Molina is now 4-0.

BE's Bottom line: There really isn't much to say. It ended in two rounds. It seemed a bit early to me to throw in the towel. Molina was a better and stronger fighter but he may've lost on points if Flores' chin could take it.
